Evy Dean Huppert is another photographer that I have met through the SCAD grape vine. After befriending Tobia, Lori, and Sal, Evy popped up on my Facebook as "people you may know" and I fell in love with her work. What I love most about her photos is the amount of texture she has in every photo. Even when the photo itself has a pretty soft feeling to it, the texture always pops and makes itself known. Aside from her photographs of humanity within natural landscapes, her portraits are also really lovely. Her ability to capture a personality and emote feelings of serenity without even showing a face is really unique. I have been looking to Evy's work when I need inspiration for how to create an extended self portrait through the objectification of nature and the idea of turning a human figure into a sculpture.
