I became familiar with Dawn Surratt's work when I saw it at the "Kindred" show with Tobia, Sal, and Lori. This was the first time I saw her work, but I fell in love the moment I saw it. Her work has such whimsical elements mixed with such strong metaphors. Her photos of objects mixed with portraits bring so many beautiful elements into every image and I can't stop looking at them even more. I can't wait to continue to view her work and be inspired.
