I am in absolute love with David Wojnarowicz's work. My two favorite photos of his are the two directly below. Something about them evokes so much emotion while also making me incredibly uncomfortable and uneasy. For me, if a photo makes me uncomfortable, it's doing something right. His other work focuses on documenting men during the war and during the aids epidemic. His work is really hard to look at due to its level of rawness and the reality embedded in every image. There is a distance between the viewer and photograph, but it is also hard to not feel the pain of the subjects. He is truly incredibly talented at the art of capturing emotions and pain through a photograph.
